A Heart Warming Thanksgiving Story

Nine year old Dominic dropped off a Thanksgiving hamper for one of our families. It was purchased with money he had received from his recent birthday.

It has all the fixings of a Thanksgiving holiday feast - turkey, ham, perogies, potatoes, vegetables, juice and dessert!

A special thanks to his family, Sherri, Harvey and Kayleen for helping Dominic deliver the generous donation.

Thank you for the Donations

Kenora-Rainy River Districts Child and Family Services would like to extend their appreciation to members of our community that have generously provided donations to our Agency. Thank you to Enterprise Rent-A-Car, The Hill Family Grant, Enbridge Gas, and the Moffat Fund, and to all of those who continue to support children and families. We greatly appreciate your support.

Kenora-Rainy River Districts Child and Family Services was the fortunate recipient of a donation from Enterprise Holdings Foundation of $3,500 that was kindly presented by Leanne Wood and Hal Uysun  from Enterprise in support of families and children.

Congratulations to the Developmental Services team in Fort Frances.  Thanks to Laureen Morrish, with the help of Mary Ellen Chapman we received $6000 in funding that will be used to train our staff in the Lego Social Skills Facilitator course.  I accepted the money on behalf of our team last night at the town council meeting. We have a tentative training date in October of this year and are excited for this opportunity.

Great job to all involved!

Enterprise Holdings Foundation

Kenora-Rainy River Districts Child and Family Services is very appreciative of the support received from Enterprise Holdings Foundation. A grant of $3,000.00 received on April 1, 2015 allows the agency to plan a recreational activity in each of our communities, to express our appreciation to our foster families for the work they do, as well as build relationships amongst our foster families and the staff of our Agency.

The Enterprise Holdings was established in 1982 by their Founder, Jack C. Taylor, to allow the company to give back to the communities in which their customers and employees live and work. The Foundation provides charitable support to worthwhile, non-profit initiatives that are actively supported by the company's employees, their spouses and loyal customers in the thousands of local communities where they operate. The Foundation's philanthropic and community relations mission is to ensure that they maintain their leadership position as a valued, responsible corporate citizen by enhancing the quality of life in their communities, consistent with the company's business goals and objectives. To this end, Enterprise Holdings Foundation has contributed more than $200 million to thousands of registered non-profit efforts since its inception.
